Founded in Madrid in 2010 by friends Ana Diarte and Jairo Berrocal, Diarte was built on a simple belief: making clothes that last, using fine Italian yarns, thoughtful design, and sustainable practices. For designer Ana Diarte, the roots run deeper still, shaped by the women in her family — a grandmother who embroidered, an aunt who tailored, another grandmother who knitted and crocheted — a heritage of craftsmanship that continues to inform every collection. Knitwear-focused and proudly 100% made in Spain, Diarte works exclusively with small, family-run factories just kilometres from its Madrid studio, using Oeko-Tex certified yarns and natural fibres such as Tencel, organic cotton and merino wool. Today, around 80% of that production runs on solar energy — proof that timeless design and genuine sustainability can be one and the same.
