Naguisa
Naguisa (næˈgiːza) is Japanese for the line drawn by sea foam on the shore — a fitting name for a brand born in the summer of 2012 on the shores of the Mediterranean, from the union of product designer Claudia Pérez Polo and architect Pablo Izquierdo López. Together they set out on a clear, tenacious mission: to create a beautiful shoe that could truly adapt to each person's foot, because a beautiful shoe is worth little if you can't walk in it. In their search through the world of manual manufacturing, they found their great ally in jute, and set about reviving this natural material by giving it both striking design and genuine function. Based in Barcelona, Naguisa now brings its espadrilles, sandals and braided leather shoes to more than 20 countries, worn by women who share the same love for comfort, craft and distinction. Rooted in tradition yet made for contemporary life, Naguisa moves at the pace of the sea — unhurried, natural, and true to its origins.
